The End fanzine was formed around 1980, co-founded by Peter Hooton and Phil Jones. It ran for almost a decade and acheived notoriety and cult status as the forerunner to Terrace Culture as it is still known today. It's often quoted, (or blamed) as being the fore-runner for lads mags like Loaded. However, I hope to remind everyone it was much much more than that and had a great influence on the Local Music and fashion scene for decades. There's a compilation book released by Bluecoat press due out in the very near future, featuring copies of every End Fanzine ever released, warts n'all.---- *Actually, Bluecoat Press fucked things up, royally and are now sacked. We plan to go ahead with the book with one of two interested parties. This time we'll make sure they are not fuckin cowboys. Watch this space*----In the meantime go Buy the brilliant "Boss Mag" to see a perfect example of the legacy that The End still has in 2008Now you can also see Granada TV Documentary "The World of The End" athttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ss96A5KrdI
